1. Asset Register

An inspection for valuation purposes of the land and buildings owned by the council or on a long lease is to be arranged.

 

2. Review of Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.

The revised Financial Regulations were agreed in principle. The clerk will amend format and present to the council.

 Public Footpaths

The public footpath opposite the school and by the doctor's surgery needs clearing. The clerk to contact the Volunteer Action Group through a part-time Medway Council Officer. The beacon by the water tower is rotten. Medway Council and Southern Water are to be informed.

2.Medway Local Transport Plan

 

Concerns were raised that the last bus from Chatham to Allhallows is 6.30pm.

 

Any other matters

Parking problems in Binney Road continue. The PCSO is to be informed. There are pot-holes at the entrance to Avery Way needing repair. The area by the shops at the end of the private road is not being maintained although the boundary clearly shows that the road ends at number 180. MC to be informed.

Cllr Marsh reported that a meeting had been held on the 27 November. The police would review the benefit of the speed cameras installed in November in the New Year. The Chatttenden redevelopment workshops would be arranged in January. (See October minutes).

Allhallows Life Magazine

 

An additional 45 copies have been requested and spare copies are to be left at the shop.

 

Website

The Website manager sent a report to the meeting, that in the past 12 month rolling period, we have had some 26,390 hits on the Allhallows Parish Council website. For the last complete month of November 2007, the statistics counted 2184 hits.

 

Recent tasks have included adding some pages from Dec/Jan Allhallows Life Magazine, updating details of the Villager rural excursions, and adding a seasonal greeting from the Parish Council with some festive decorations.

CLERK'S REPORT

 

The clerks reported that she had written to Brompton Barracks regarding Cross Park , and to MC regarding the removal of trees and the lack of a play park re planning application ME94/0471. Matters under confidential had also been quite active during the month.

CORRESPONDENCE

 

The clerk had received a letter from MC regarding the lease on the recreation ground-see under minute 398. A letter was received concerning the Community Responder scheme from the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Anyone interested should contact 01273 897836 or email Responder@Secamb.nhs.uk . Victim support are looking for volunteers. Their contact number is 01634 401733. A letter of complaint was received from the manager of the pre-school play group regarding the recent meeting held at the Village Hall. A letter requesting that the trees in front of 45 St Andrews Walk be lopped was also received.
