GRANT APPLICATIONS

 

EON is still offering grants through the “EON Source Fund”. The Woodland Trust are offering free trees The Lottery funded Breathing Spaces programme developed with the BBC may be able to help with Cross Park. The Clerk will contact Groundwork Kent and Medway regarding the Brimp.

1.General Matters

 

Cllr Skudder informed the members that the length of a football pitch must be between 100yds (90m) and 130yds (120m), and the width not less than 50yds (45m) and not more than 100yds (90m).

All Saints Allotments

 

It was agreed that the estimate received from Macmole should be accepted.  It was proposed by Cllr Marsh and seconded by Cllr Mrs George that £80 per annum for the large plots and £50 per annum for the small plots should be charged for the allotments after the original free six month tenancy had passed.

Mr Wallace is to be contacted regarding management of the allotments.

There will be a public meeting on the 15/01/08 at 7.00pm at Hundred of Hoo School to discuss plans for a new settlement at Chattenden.

Allhallows Life Magazine

 

There have not been any articles this month for addition to the magazine.

 

Website

 

The Website manager sent a report to the meeting, that in the past 12 month rolling period, we have had some 27,131 hits on the Allhallows Parish Council website. For the last complete month of December 2007, the statistics counted 2624 hits.

 

The most popular viewed web pages during the month of December continue to be village newsletters (both new and old VL archive); the links page; as well as the meeting dates and documents web pages.

CLERK’S REPORT

 

The clerks reported that she had written to Allhallows Pre-school group and a letter in response had been received. This was discussed.  A letter had been sent to Medway Council regarding various maintenance matters. A letter had been sent to Southern Water regarding the beacon. A response to the letter received regarding the lease on the recreation ground was discussed.

CORRESPONDENCE

 

The clerk had received a letter from Banks Development stating that a further exhibition of the Perry’s farm Waste Development would take place probably in early March. An invitation had been received to the Lord Lieutenant of Kent’s annual Civic service at Canterbury Cathedral on Tuesday 4 March 2008. A letter was received from Barclays Bank in regard to an account opened by the Cross Park Community Association. A response was received to the clerk’s letter last month from The Royal School of Military Engineering Regiment stating that they regretted being unable to help with the bridle path at Cross Park. A letter was received from Groundwork Kent & Medway –see under grants. A response was received from Medway council in regard to the letter send regarding the housing development.
